Hello!I'm Angela.
I'm a therapist, mother to an energetic 8-year-old, artist, and lifelong lover of music. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent years working as a DJ and in the music industry, experiences that continue to shape how I listen, connect, and understand people's stories.
I come from a large, multi-ethnic blended family and know firsthand that relationships can be both beautiful and complicated. Growing up around addiction, trauma, resilience, and healing shaped the way I see people and ultimately led me to this work. Those experiences continue to inform my commitment to approaching therapy with curiosity, compassion, cultural humility, and a strong social justice lens.
When I'm not in the therapy room, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, cooking for the people I love, digging for records, finding inspiration through art, or out dancing. I believe healing happens through authentic relationships, self-understanding, and creating a space where people feel seen, accepted, and empowered to grow.
You don’t have to keep showing up the same way just because it’s what you’ve always done.
Together, we'll get curious about the patterns that once helped you survive, the stories you've carried, and the ways they've shaped your relationships—with yourself, the people you love, your body, your sexuality, and the life you're building.
My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel safe enough to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and discover that you have more choice than you may realize. Insight matters, but it isn't the destination. I want you to leave therapy feeling more grounded, more connected, and more able to live from a place that feels authentically your own—not simply from the patterns you've learned to survive.
